TRANSFORM PERSECUTIONS INTO SOMETHING GOOD

Meanwhile, the believers who had been scattered during the persecution after Stephen’s death traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch of Syria. They preached the word of God, but only to Jews. (Acts 11:19 NLT)

1.- Transform persecutions into something good.

In this era Christians were being persecuted for saying that Jesus was king and savior of the world.

After seeing how Stephen had been stoned to death, many people were afraid and chose to leave their land and flee the terrible laws that endangered their lives and that of their families.

It seemed like a perverse and unfair tragedy.

But God is an expert in making sure that the Devil doesn’t get his way, those who were Christian dispersed in various places and began preaching to all kinds of people in the new cities they had all taken refuge in.

2.- You need the supernatural power of God to turn the bad things into good.

The bible says: “The power of the Lord was with them, and a large number of these Gentiles believed and turned to the Lord.” (Acts 11:19-21 NLT)

Maybe you’re not being persecuted for being a Christian, but you feel overwhelmed or threatened by the uncertainty of immigration laws, injustices, lack of health insurance, or by the question of “What will tomorrow look like?”

The key is, to succeed in the limitless power of the Lord, not in your own strength.

In conclusion, remember two things:

First, don’t faint because of what you’re going through this week.
Second, remember that in God’s supernatural power we can turn persecution and pain into something of benefit for ourselves and to others.

Meanwhile, the believers who had been scattered during the persecution after Stephen’s death traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch of Syria. They preached the word of God, but only to Jews. (Acts 11:19 NLT)

Think about it:

How did God use something that seemed bad, for your own good?
Are you going through persecution in your own strength?
What do you need to do to be filled with the power of God?
