Give place to God’s justice

GIVE PLACE TO GOD’S JUSTICE

May the Lord therefore judge which of us is right and punish the guilty one. He is my advocate, and he will rescue me from your power!” (1 Sam. 24:15 NLT)

In this passage we see how David completely trusted in the justice of God.

We live in an imperfect world hurting by sin, and most of us on occasions will find ourselves in situations where we feel that we have been mistreated, discriminated against, criticized, offended, or treated unfairly.

You have several options when an injustice is committed against you. You can take revenge by bringing more problems into the relationship, or you can allow God to do you justice.

David preferred that God be his defender.

May the Lord therefore judge which of us is right and punish the guilty one. He is my advocate, and he will rescue me from your power!” (1 Sam. 24:15 NLT)

Think about it:

What is the first thing you do when someone treats you badly?
Are you one of those who defends themselves against injustices or do you let God do it?
Have you lost relationships for reacting badly to these situations?
