EVEN IF A VIRUS CAMPS
Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. (Psalm 27:3 NKJV)
I can’t deny the “reality” that there is a pandemic in the world.
It’s a “reality” that the economy has been shaken.
It’s a “reality” that there are questions about the future for jobs, studies, and the “new normal” that lies ahead.
All of these things are a “reality”, but I refuse to live guided by the “realistic” and natural news and forecasts.
I decide not to focus on “reality”, but to stand by the “truth” that is supernatural, that is higher than reality: The Bible.
So, a way to paraphrase this Psalm and have peace, would be like this:
“Lord, even if the coronavirus is camped in the city, my heart will not fear.
Even if a plague arises against humanity, I will be confident.”
Even if there are viruses in the world, I stand in the “truth” and stay green, bearing fruit these days … and you?
Think about it:
Have you been filled with fear of what is happening (reality)? or
Are you standing on the Truth of the Word of God and your trust is in God?
Do you still have your green leaves and are bearing fruit these days?
