How can I feel secure?

HOW CAN I FEEL SECURE?

Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. (Psalms 37:3 NLT)

As I am sitting on the patio of my house reading these lines, at the same time I’m watching and listening to some little birds sing and I feel a great peace.

A bird that is on a branch of the tree, doesn’t care about anything, it just jumps from branch to branch and exchanges sounds with other birds in my neighbors’ trees.
How could I feel safe and minimize my stress in these days of pandemic and uncertainty like those little birds?

Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. (Psalms 37:3 NLT)

This verse tells me two key things:

1. Trust in God.
I will live stressed if my trust is in the economy, the government or the ministry; but I feel safe because my source is still God. I know everything will be fine!

2. Continue doing what’s good.
Right now, I am remembering two pastors from two small congregations that I think need help.  I will contact them to see how I can help them.

3. Results: I will be prospered.

Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. (Psalms 37:3 NLT)Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires 5 Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. (Psalms 37:4-5 NLT)

Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? (Mat. 6:25-34 NLT)

Think about it:

Have you felt full of stress because of the pandemic?
What things do you need to place in God’s hands?
Whom can you do something good for this week?
