Let’s not forget God

LET’S NOT FORGET GOD
AFTER HE HELPS US

I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the Lord. (2 Kings 20:5 NLT)

I would say that this verse speaks to us in a modern way like this:

1.- God will keep you from the coronavirus pandemic even if it lasts three days, months, or years.

2.- But, don’t forget to draw near to the house of God and serve Him.

I’ve noticed that us human beings search for God more during crises, but, after it passes, we return to our old habits, forgetting the Lord and his church.

When people are in jail or the hospital, they remember God and ask for prayer, but after God rescues them, they forget about serving Him.

When the coronavirus pandemic began, people would connect more to the online services, prayed more, read the Bible more. But, I noticed that little by little, they stopped connecting. When the governor allowed some business to reopen, people began to pray less and return to bars and things like that.

What did God help you for in the past?

I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the Lord.  (2 Kings 20:5 NLT)

Lord, I want to be permanently transformed. I don’t want to come out of this season the same. Help me to live gratefully and available to fulfill the purpose for which you brought me to this earth. You healed me so I could love you and serve you with all of my heart.

Think about it:

What prayer has God answered for you?
Had you forgotten about being grateful with God?
Have you grown cold and disconnected from God in these times?
