Let’s not loosen up in prayer

LET’S NOT LOOSEN UP IN PRAYER
Because Covid is going away

 Then Jehoahaz prayed for the Lord’s help, and the Lord heard his prayer, for he could see how severely the king of Aram was oppressing Israel. (2 Kings 13:4 NLT) 

Prayer is the most necessary thing in these critical times.

In this verse we see that the people were being cruelly oppressed, and it was prayer that delivered them.

We are now seeing that our world is being oppressed by the coronavirus pandemic, protests, racism, inequality, riots, and violence in many cities in the United States, including our city of Las Vegas.

At the beginning of the coronavirus we started praying a lot, but perhaps we were already beginning to loosen up in prayer and now these disturbances are reminding us that we must remain in prayer to God.

We need to turn to God in prayer and I know that He will restore peace to our cities, because only He can give us a peaceful sleep.

In peace I will lie down and sleep,for you alone, Lord,make me dwell in safety.            (Psalms 4:8 NIV)

Seek peace and well-being for the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf; for in its peace (well-being) you will have peace.’ (Jeremiah 29:7 AMP)

Think about it:

Had you loosened up a bit in your prayer for your city?
Why do you think it is important to pray for your city?
How has God answered your prayers?
