People who stand out

PEOPLE WHO STAND OUT
Part 1

Each of these descendants of Asher was the head of an ancestral clan. They were all select men—mighty warriors and outstanding leaders… (1 Chronicles 7:40 NLT)

What makes a person stand out from the rest?
Four characteristics that made these men stand out: (Today, we’ll learn two and tomorrow we’ll learn another two).

1.- THEY WERE THE HEAD. Each of these descendants of Asher was the head of an ancestral clan.(1 Chronicles 7:40 NLT)

Those individuals are not settlers. They refuse to be like the masses. They don’t allow themselves to be average or mediocre.

God called us to be the head and not the tail.

If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom.(Deut. 28:13 NLT)

2.- SELECT. Each of these descendants of AsherThey were all select men… (1 Chronicles 7:40 NLT)

They were carefully selected people. For example, the EU doesn’t choose just anyone to form their soccer team, rather they carefully select each one of the players that will go on to play the world championship.

God selected you. God selected me. He intentionally chose us from before we were born.

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”(Jer. 1:5 NLT)
