Winds and whirlwind

WINDS AND WHIRLWIND

“They have planted the wind and will harvest the whirlwind…(Hosea 8:7 NLT)

The butterfly effect suggests that the small flapping of a butterfly’s wings can grow and produce a strong wind on the other side of the world.

The Bible says that everything man sows, he will also reap.

The wind that comes out of our mouths in the form of words will produce a whirlwind of tragedy and storms or produce rains of blessing.

“They have planted the wind and will harvest the whirlwind…(Hosea 8:7 NLT)

If winds in the form of aggressive and offensive words come out of my mouth, I can provoke someone’s anger and reap a whirlwind of punches or even a fatal gunshot.

That is why I should take care of my words. Speak what God speaks, not what the Devil speaks. Speak solutions, not problems. Speak healing, not sickness. Speak blessing and abundance, not curse and lack. Declare the victory and not defeat. Prophesy the “truth” and not “reality.”

The tongue can bring death or life...(Proverbs 18:21 NLT)

Think about it:

What are you going to reap?
What has come out of your mouth? Blessing or curse? Victory or defeat?
During this time of crisis, have you spoken the Word of God (truth) or bad news (reality)?
