Will they bury you amongst the kings?

WILL THEY BURY YOU AMONGST THE KINGS?

He was buried among the kings in the City of David, because he had done so much good in Israel for God and his Temple. (2 Chronicles 24:16 NLT)

There are people who receive places of influence because of their faithfulness to God and service to people.

Jehoiada was a good priest who served God and the king, repaired the temple of the Lord, and brought people to God.

It impresses me that when he died he was buried among kings, even though he was never king;  and that the king was buried in common ground.

Now Jehoiada was old and full of years, and he died at the age of a hundred and thirty. 16 He was buried with the kings in the City of David, because of the good he had done in Israel for God and his temple.. (2 Chronicles 24:15-16 NLT)

On the other hand there are leaders who turn away from God and lose their place of influence and are not even buried with honor.

(Al rey Joás) …lo asesinaron mientras estaba en su cama. Luego lo enterraron en la Ciudad de David, pero no en el cementerio de los reyes. (2 Crónicas 24:25 NTV)

Let’s not stop serving God by serving people.

Think about it:

Has God put you in places of influence because of your service to Him?

Are you still serving him even in these times or have you grown cold?

How do you continue to serve people?
