Careful with what I look

CAREFUL WITH WHAT I LOOK
AT IN TIMES OF PRESSURE AND STRESS

As Pharaoh approached, the people of Israel looked up and panicked when they saw the Egyptians overtaking them. They cried out to the Lord, (Exodus 14:10 NLT)

Be careful with what we’re looking at! The Israelites made several mistakes when they looked up and saw the Egyptians coming after them, and so they panicked. What are we looking at during these times? Let’s not make the same mistakes as them.

Mistake #1They saw the danger. They focused on the danger. They raised their eyes and looked at the army that was coming after them, but they had the option of looking at something else, the cloud, the column of fire that accompanied them; that cloud was the manifestation of God’s presence. (By day it was a cloud and by night a pillar of fire).

They didn’t have to look at the army or focus on the danger. They had the option of looking at the column of fire. We have different options in what we look at during this time, we can panic looking at the virus statistics or focus on the promises of God. We may be looking at the danger of bad news or focusing on the column of fire that doesn’t allow the enemy to approach us.

We can be sure that the pillar of fire of God’s presence will stand in the way to protect us from the enemies that come during this time of Covid.

To be continued….

Think about it:

What are you looking at?
What is the first thing that captures your thoughts these days, the doctor’s diagnosis or the promises of healing from the Bible?
What is your mind focused on?
