HOW TO BE THE FIRST?
He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”». (Mark 9:35 NLT)
Meanwhile in the world we see that some of those who have influence or are in command of something abuse their authority, are arrogant and oppress their employees; but it shouldn’t be like that between us. Jesus teaches us quite the opposite by His example, that if we want to be great, we must serve others and be humble.
So Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their authority over those under them. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many (Marcos 10:42-45 NLT)
- True leaders earn their place of influence by serving their neighbors.
- They reach the pinnacle of leadership in a healthy way, become truly successful entrepreneurs, and stand out from the crowd because they have a humble attitude.
- They are people who find the purpose of their existence and live to enrich others as they walk through this brief season called life.
He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”». (Mark 9:35 NLT)
Think about it:
Has God placed you in a place of influence?
Do you have an attitude of humility and service before others?
H0w do you enrich others with your life?
