Intentionally strive

INTENTIONALLY STRIVE
TO PRODUCE JOY IN YOUR LIFE

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!! (Phillipians 4:4 NLT)

Find some way to create joy in your life. The days are difficult and if you don’t take care of yourself, you can lose your joy due to bad news, such as unemployment, Covid statistics, etc. and that can demoralize our hearts and our thoughts. So we have to strive to somehow produce joy in our life.

There is something that our body produces and sends it to the brain, and that is what makes us feel good. So instead of seeing a glass half empty, we see it half full.

How can we generate that? There are different things, from spiritual habits to physical ones. (6 habits of a successful disciple), but it can also be for you to go out to your garden, play with your puppy, go to the lake, exercise, eat something delicious, go for a walk, surround yourself with people, etc.

Don’t expect joy to happen by itself. Intentionally strive to produce joy with one of these healthy habits that I am suggesting, not destructive habits, and don’t depend on anyone to produce that joy.

If you don’t produce it you won’t enjoy life, it will become heavy, difficult, tedious, etc.

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!! (Phillipians 4:4 NLT)

Think about it:

Have you lost your joy over the bad news?
What healthy habit gives you that feeling of happiness and joy?
What can you start to do to brighten up your life?
