Trapped? Who is in the middle? II

TRAPPED? WHO IS IN THE MIDDLE? II

Then the Lord gave these instructions to Moses: Order the Israelites to turn back and camp by Pi-hahiroth between Migdol and the sea. Camp there along the shore, across from Baal-zephon. Then Pharaoh will think, ‘The Israelites are confused. They are trapped in the wilderness!’”. (Exodus 14:1-3 NLT)

God’s people were trapped between the sea and Pharaoh’s army, so they were filled with fear. Have you felt scared during this pandemic?

Look at what Moses told them:

But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid.Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. 14 The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”

God tells us his people in Las Vegas “DO NOT be afraid, just be still and watch how the Lord will rescue you.”

Then the angel of God, who had been leading the people of Israel, moved to the rear of the camp. The pillar of cloud also moved from the front and stood behind them. (Exodus 14:19 NLT)

Have you felt between the sea and the enemy army? But everything has a plan from God, because in those situations, God’s glory and intervention is manifested. God is the answer of this world!

Why did the cloud move back? The cloud was the presence of God protecting his people. Even though we are in a pandemic, God is protecting us, God puts himself in the middle between you and the danger, between danger and your family.

God always puts himself in the middle. Jesus put Himself between hell and your person, the cross was put between earth and heaven so that we wouldn’t go to hell. God always puts himself in the middle, between danger and your family. The cloud was placed between the camp and the Egyptians so that they couldn’t approach them. God always protects us from all danger!

The cloud settled between the Egyptian and Israelite camps. As darkness fell, the cloud turned to fire, lighting up the night. But the Egyptians and Israelites did not approach each other all night. (14:20)

To be continued…

Think about it:

Have you felt like you don’t know what to do during this pandemic?
In what other situations has God manifested himself in your life?
In what ways have you experienced God’s protection in your life?
