Trapped? Who is in the middle?

TRAPPED? WHO IS IN THE MIDDLE?

Then the Lord gave these instructions to Moses: Order the Israelites to turn back and camp by Pi-hahiroth between Migdol and the sea. Camp there along the shore, across from Baal-zephon. Then Pharaoh will think, ‘The Israelites are confused. They are trapped in the wilderness!’”. (Exodus 14:1-3 NLT)

Problems and dangers are part of life, and they can make us feel scared, tired, stressed, sick, and intimidated about the future. But the presence of God will always accompany us. It will always protect us and it will always be with us.

We are in this pandemic and we see the dangers. We don’t know many things about the future, there is uncertainty and sometimes we’re going to feel like we are in danger. There is the danger of not being able to pay the rent, danger of not knowing whether work will continue or not, etc. And we could feel trapped like the Israelites.

God wanted to make Pharaoh think that they were trapped between the sea and the desert and that he was going to capture them there.

… as pharaoh approached, the people of Israel looked up and panicked when they saw the Egyptians overtaking them. they cried out to the lord. (Exodus 14:10 NLT)

Likewise, some people are saying: “The virus will get me sooner or later” and they panic. Butit’s time to cry out to the Lord in this pandemic. It’s time for them to recognize that God is the answer, that the church of Jesus Christ is the hope for this world, that God is the source of all good gifts. We have to cry out to God!
To be continued….

Think about it:

What feelings have you harbored during this pandemic?
What has caused you uncertainty?
Have you already cried out to God in the middle of this pandemic?
