Words that cross our mind

WORDS THAT CROSS OUR MIND

And immediately the rooster crowed the second time.Suddenly, Jesus’ words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny three times that you even know me.” And he broke down and wept. (Mark 14:72 NLT)

What words cross our mind? “Failure” or “success”?

Our mind may have memories of painful words, or of God’s promises of blessing. In the Bible, we find expressions that warn us not to make certain mistakes, and there are others that give us direction on how to be spiritually, family, socially, or financially successful. Next week we will be remembering something. Will they be words of peace or thoughts of pain? It depends on what we decide to do today.

The words that will resonate in our minds could be filled with pain because we ignore good advice, or they can be words filled with joy because we put good advice into practice. The consequences can be failure if we ignore God’s Word, or they can be success if we value wise advice.

And immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Suddenly, Jesus’ WORDS FLASHED THROUGH PETERS MIND: “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny three times that you even know me.” And he broke down and wept. (Mark 14:72 NLT)

Think about it:

What words will we remember?

What words are frequently in your mind?

Do you ignore or value the advice of  the Word of God?
