Five things we shouldn’t neglect – II

FIVE THINGS WE SHOULDN’T NEGLECT

 IN THE COVID CRISIS   II

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. 14 And do everything with love. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14 NLT)

Yesterday we learned about the importance of not neglecting important things, such as our spiritual and family life during this pandemic. We learned about staying alert and standing firm. Today we will learn three other things to do during this difficult time:

3. – Be courageous. The original version in greek says “be men”. It speaks of acting manly in the face of problems that Covid-19 has brought.

We can’t run away and fall into depression, we must face the problem and seek solutions

4.– Be strong.

Worthwhile things are not easy. Success takes work.

In this crisis, what was hidden is being revealed and it’s noticeable those who really had a strong relationship with God, or in their marriage, etc.

The weak and the emotionally mature are being distinguished.

5.- Doing everything with love.

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. 14 And do everything with love. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14 NLT)

We shouldn’t allow this crisis to steal our love for God, for our family or for the people.

Crises can either make us bitter or make us better. They harden us or make us more sensible. Let’s choose to let this crisis make us more tender and loving.

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. 14 And do everything with love. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14 NLT)

Think about it:

How have you dealt with the problems during this pandemic?

Is your relationship with God and with your family strong or do you need to work more on it?

Do you think you have become more loving with God and with your family during this time?

What can you do to show love to God and your family?
