Five things we shouldn’t neglect

FIVE THINGS WE SHOULDN’T NEGLECT

IN THE COVID CRISIS

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous.[a] Be strong. 14 And do everything with love. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14 NLT)

In this time of pandemic we must be very careful not to stray from God’s purpose. Therefore, we must not neglect the following:

  1. Be alert.

This speaks of being vigilant, not letting our guard down, not trusting ourselves, remaining attentive and ready to take any necessary action.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8 NLT)

  1. Stand firm.

During this Covid crisis we have seen people who have given up, marriages who give up and separate, Christians who have wavered in their faith.

There are people who haven’t been able to handle the test and have returned to their old lifestyle.

“Standing firm” speaks of not wavering, even though we are being pressured by problems, it speaks of not running away from the family, of not leaving church, of not leaving university, etc., but it speaks of standing firm.

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous.[a] Be strong. 14 And do everything with love. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14 NLT)

To be continued…

Think about it:

What have you neglected during this time of pandemic?

Have you stood firm or have you wavered in any area?

What area do you need to stand firm in once again?
