HOW TO CONSERVE YOUR JOB
EVEN THOUGH THERE’S A PANDEMIC
Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men. (Prov. 22:29)
Today we will share some practical tips that will help you succeed in your work, even if there’s a pandemic.
Do you want to be close to the kings?
We must excel, even more so, in these times of pandemic; jobs will be scarce and who do you think will have those jobs? Those who excel.
Practical Suggestions:
- Learn more about the job that you do
Prepare yourself and study about the field so that you can have more knowledge. Don’t settle for knowing the basics, because then you will only gain the basics. Learn English, read about what you do, take seminars, etc.. So, when the going gets tough, those who know the most about the area they work in are the ones who will stay in their jobs. Get ready! This will add more value to you and your employers will not let you go so easy.
- Arrive before anyone else and leave after everyone leaves.
Someone punctual is someone who employers can trust. Nobody wants to have employees who are late, they aren’t trustworthy. Unlike a person who tells you before leaving, “Is there anything else I can help you with?” Go the extra mile! When you go the extra mile, your boss will also want to give you extra money but, when you cut the mile they will cut the mile for you too.

Think about it:
What else do you think is essential to keep your job and be successful?
What are you doing or what can you do to prepare yourself more in what you do?
Are you one of those who arrive 10 minutes before work or 10 minutes after?
Are you going the extra mile or do you just stick to the basics?
