In what areas do I have to be alert?

IN WHAT AREAS DO I HAVE TO BE ALERT?

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8 NLT)

Why must I be alert? Through this pandemic, now more than ever we must be alert. Jesus will come back for his church, no one knows the day or the time, other than the Father. Emotionally speaking we are living a difficult time.

What does being alert mean? Being vigilante, paying attention in difficult times, be observant, be awake. The opposite of being alert is being distracted, sleepy, not being in your five senses. For example, someone that is drugged or drunk is not alert, that’s why there are so many unnecessary accidents, due to the irresponsibility of those that are under the influence of the desires of the flesh and the vanity of life. That is not being alert.

If we do not take care of ourselves the devil can devour us. He wants to devour our connection with God, our family, and our purpose.

What way will he devour you?

  • Makes they sleepy. He attacks your emotions and thoughts. In this pandemic people are giving up because they become sleepy.
  • The fire of the gift of God in your heart begins to get cold and suddenly they do not feel the same passion for God and for people.
  • They are filled with resentment and bitterness. Toxic emotions begin, they get resentful against the injustices in this society. You begin to have thoughts that you didn’t have before.
  • Making people depressed.  Depression is frequent in this time and it is living in people’s hearts.

To be continued…

Think about it:

Have you neglected your spiritual family in this pandemic?
Have you lost the passion for God and for people?
In what area of your life do you have to be alert?
