REAL FRIENDS BRING YOU CLOSER TO GOD
Four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They couldn’t bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, so they dug a hole through the roof above his head. Then they lowered the man on his mat, right down in front of Jesus. (Mark 23-4 NLT)
Friends are even more necessary in the pandemic. You are going to need friends when life gets tough. For example, when someone is in the hospital they need friends, those who have been sick with Covid, when you lose a loved one, etc.
We all need friends and we all need to be friends to someone. And those friends are in the family of God. You and I have two families. The biological family with the same blood, the same DNA, and then we have another family in Christ; We don’t have the same blood, but we do have the same spiritual DNA, which is the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. You can’t separate yourself from your spiritual family!
Thank God for these four friends of the paralyzed man. Those friends said, “We haven’t seen our friend in church anymore, and what if our friend is discouraged? We can’t be can’t stay doing nothing, what do you think if we go look for him? ”
In this pandemic, many are discouraged, the fire of God’s gift has been extinguished. But these four friends were praying for him.
Thank God there are people who never forget God’s purpose for their lives and are always looking for what to do for others. In this pandemic we all need friends and we all need to be friends to someone!

Think about it:
Have your friends brought you closer or further away from God?
Have your friends kept you from your purpose or kept you connected to your purpose? Do your friends cheer you up or discourage you?
Who are you that kind of friend for?
