THANK YOU BECAUSE YOU HAVE TRUSTED ME
Part 2
I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him, (1 Timothy 1:12 NLT)
Yesterday I shared that I thank God for considering me worthy and today I want to give God thanks for three other things:
- God trusted me. Thank you, Lord, for risking your perfect Word to go through my imperfect mind and to come out of my mouth, which sometimes does not know how to speak so articulated.
He considered me trustworthy… (1 Tim. 1:12b NLT)
- He put me in the ministry to serve him.
It is a privilege to serve God through serving the people.
It is uncommon, it is not just any job, it is not for everyone that simply “wants” to be a pastor to fill some emotional emptiness. It is a privilege!
He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him, (1 Tim. 1:12b NLT)
- He has given me strength.
He has strengthened me when things have gotten difficult in the ministry. When life got difficult because of the COVID pandemic, God who called us, and continues to strengthen us.
I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him, (1 Timothy 1:12 NLT)
Think about it:
Do you consider serving God through serving people a privilege?
In what way has God strengthened you in these difficult times?
Do you teach with responsibility the Word of God to others?
