He carried his own cross – part 1

HE CARRIED HIS OWN CROSS
Part 1

Carrying the cross by himself, he went to the place called Place of the Skull (in Hebrew, Golgotha). 18 There they nailed him to the cross. Two others were crucified with him, one on either side, with Jesus between them. (John 19:17-18 NLT)

It’s so difficult to die to “self” without being pressured.
We argue and demand others to show us where we need to change, to convince us that we have blind spots in our life.

We fight with ourselves when God asks us to give him our life, or part of our time, or our money, or some of our attitudes and old ways of thinking.

We resist dying to self.
We don’t like dying to our wishes.
We don’t like to die to comfort.
We don’t like to die at convenience.
We don’t like to give up our own profit.

But our Lord Jesus decided to voluntarily die for all this, out of love for you and me.

Carrying the cross by himself, he went to the place called Place of the Skull (in Hebrew, Golgotha). There they nailed him to the cross. Two others were crucified with him, one on either side, with Jesus between them. (John 19:17-18 NLT)

To be continued….

Think about it:

What changes do you need to do in your life?
What have you not wanted to surrender to God?
¿Have you resisted dying to the “I”?
