Don’t let our incense arise

DON’T LET OUR INCENSE ARISE

Our ego and pride shouldn’t be “lifted”. There is a certain “incense” that isn’t for us, but only for God.

the table and all its utensils, the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense; But as for the incense which you shall make, you shall not make any for yourselves, according to its composition. It shall be to you holy for the Lord. (Exodus 30:37 NLT)

1.- What we achieve in this life is thanks to God.
A good family is a blessing from God.
What we have in this world is thanks to God.
The influence and the successes that we can achieve, we owe everything to God.
The anointing we carry is from God, it’s not our own.
The ministry that God has entrusted us to lead is a privilege and belongs to God.

2.- Many types of incense.
Incense was a product that was used to worship God, but there was a type of incense common in homes for personal use, and another exclusive only for God.
There are recognitions, diplomas, and awards that we can receive and we should enjoy them; But, we must be careful never to take the glory that only belongs to God. We must beware of “the toxic incense” that fame, power, love of money, achievements, etc. can produce.

3.- My life revolves around God.
We must give Him the credit and recognize that He is the source of all that we have, of all that we know, of where we are and where we will go.

But as for the incense which you shall make, you shall not make any for yourselves, according to its composition. It shall be to you holy for the Lord. (Exodus 30:37 NLT)
Think about it:

What achievements have you had in your life?
How do you think God helped you achieve them?
Have you given God the glory for everything, or is the incense you have given for yourself only?
