The imposed and the voluntary cross is not the same

THE IMPOSED AND THE VOLUNTARY CROSS IS NOT THE SAME

Along the way, they came across a man named Simon, who was from Cyrene, and the soldiers forced him to carry Jesus’ cross. (Matthew 27:32 NLT)

It’s one thing that they force me to carry a cross, and another, that I voluntarily decide to carry my cross.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. (Mat. 16:24)

Nobody likes to be forced to do certain things. This is not how life is enjoyed. It becomes heavy, monotonous, irritable, etc.

I take joy in doing your will, my God. (Psalms 40:8)

Lord show me your ways and assure me that you are with me and I will dare to do whatever you ask of me.
I have a Kingdom vision, I live with purpose, I am excited about the mission you have assigned me, I am living the best days of my life and I know better ones will come!

Along the way, they came across a man named Simon, who was from Cyrene, and the soldiers forced him to carry Jesus’ cross. (Matthew 27:32 NLT)

Think about it:

Do you feel obligated to follow Jesus or are you doing it voluntarily?
Are you available to do what God asks you to do?
Are you living on purpose? What does that produce in you?
