WHAT TO DO WITH THE EXCREMENT?
Part 1
You must have a designated area outside the camp where you can go to relieve yourself. Each of you must have a spade as part of your equipment. Whenever you relieve yourself, dig a hole with the spade and cover the excrement.(Deuteronomy 23:12-13 NLT)
Waste must be removed from where we live.
That’s why we have trash trucks that pick up the trash as well as drain systems that remove the waste of the city. Why?
Because waste:
-Contaminate a place
-Produce a foul odor in the area.
-Causes sickness and infections.
-Get people dirty when stepping on.
-Make a place look ugly. Beauty and comfort disappear.
God told the people in the desert to dig and bury their human waste outside of where their tents were.
You must have a designated area outside the camp where you can go to relieve yourself. (Deut. 23:12 NLT)
What does the camp represent?
Our sphere of influence, our heart.
Think about it:
What waste do you need to remove from your heart?
What is contaminating your heart that you need to remove?
Are you always making sure to keep your camp clean?
