The power of a genuine blessing

THE POWER OF A GENUINE BLESSING

“In that case,” Eli said, “go in peace! May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him.” (1 Samuel 1:17-18, NLT)

In this story from the Bible, Ana had been praying and crying out to God for her petition.

What was Ana’s petition?
Have a child. Break the power of barrenness. Breaking a cycle that for years had seized her life.
At first glance, Priest Eli didn’t know what her petition was at the time,  he only knew that Ana had been praying and pouring out her heart before God for something.
He only blessed her, by saying, “May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him.”

“In that case,” Eli said, “go in peace! May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him.” (1 Samuel 1:17-18, NLT)

How did Ana receive the blessing?
With revelation and conviction.
She believed it and she received it in her spirit.
Her faith was strong that day, Her mood had changed. A cycle of joy and blessing suddenly replaced the cycles of suffering and barrenness.

“Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad.
(1 Samuel 1:18  NLT)

Summary:
-A genuine blessing said with anointing and revelation is powerful.
-A blessing received with revelation in my spirit will change my life in an instant.
-A blessing, replaces old cycles of poverty and failure with cycles of blessing and success

Think about it:
What words of blessing changed your life?
What words of blessing have you released on your children?
What have you been asking God in your prayers?
