WATCHING YOUR TONGUE ELONGATES YOUR LIFE

(Psalms 34:12-13 NLT)
The way we speak will determine the way we live. There are three tips that this passage gives us from the Bible in order to live a long and prosperous life. We already talked about the first two, and today we ended up with the Third Tip:
3.Don’t speak lies. Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies!
Not only does it refer to deliberately lying and consciously hiding something in our life. But it refers to not talking contrary to what God says in His word.
It refers to not speaking negatively because that would be a lie. The Word of God is the truth!
When we speak something opposite to the word, then we are lying without realizing it. Why? Because we speak something that is not true according to the Word of God.
For example:
Lie: Pray for “my” sickness.
Truth: It ‘s not your sickness. The truth is “by his wounds I have been healed”. (Isaiah. 53:5)

Think about it:
Do you tend to be in agreement with the Word of
God or without noticing do you speak the contrary?
Do you know the promises of God?
What can you do to align your mouth to what the Word of God says?
