When you are angry

WHEN YOU ARE ANGRY

I said to myself, “I will watch what I do and not sin in what I say. I will hold my tongue when the ungodly are around me.”(Psalm 39:1 NLT)

When we are angry, we must watch what we say.
Have you ever said things that you wish you could take back and have expressed in another way?
You will find yourself in situations at work or in marriage where you will have to remember some rules of good communication to avoid problems:

1.Remember that the problem is not what you say, but how you say it.

I said to myself, “I will watch what I do and not sin in what I say. I will hold my tongue when the ungodly are around me.”(Psalm 39:1 NLT)

Have you heard people say: “I don’t have hairs in my mouth”? These people argue that they are simply speaking the truth.
But we must remember that it’s not only about saying the right things, but also about saying them in the right way, to the right person (not gossip) and at the right time.

I said to myself, “I will watch what I do and not sin in what I say. I will hold my tongue when the ungodly are around me.” (Psalm 39:1 NLT)

Think about it:

What have you regretted saying when you were angry?
Have you gotten yourself in trouble because of the way you say things?
Have you asked the Holy Spirit to take control of your words when you have to settle an issue with someone?
