Does it matter who teached me to walk? Part 2

DOES IT MATTER WHO TEACHED ME TO WALK?

PART 2

I myself taught Israel how to walk, leading him along by the hand. But he doesn’t know or even care that it was I who took care of him. (Hosea 11:3 NLT)

Yesterday we learned from this verse that God is the one who has taught us to walk and has always led us by his hand; the problem is that:

We don’t care that He took care of us.

…he doesn’t know or even care that it was I who took care of him. (Hosea 11:3 NLT)

This phrase tells me about the disconnection that people have with God.
We are so busy and always running that we don’t really know God or his plans for our life.
In our eagerness, we lose our gratitude. We simply go toward achieving our dreams or goals without any regard for God, without stopping to thank Him for making our plans succeed.

We don’t know.
We believe we are self-sufficient, and we think that we are what we are and we have what we have thanks to our effort, our skills, our work, our intelligence, etc. But what we don’t know is that it was God who has helped us up to this point.

Father, thank you for taking care of me, for teaching me to walk and leading me by the hand in this life. Help me never to forget that I owe everything to you.

I myself taught Israel how to walk, leading him along by the hand. But he doesn’t know or even care that it was I who took care of him. (Hosea 11:3 NLT)

Think about it:
Do you take God into account in all your plans?
Have you ever stopped to think that everything you have is thanks to God?
How do you thank God for taking care of you?
