In the depths of the sea – part 2

IN THE DEPTHS OF THE SEA
Part 2

He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19)

Yesterday we talked about how when we repent and let Jesus into our hearts, various things happen with our sins. The first is, that God has mercy on us and does not give us what we deserve for them.

Three other things He does with our sins:

2. Buries them
subdue our iniquities,… (Micah 7:19)
He buries them so that no one is looking at them and so that no one is showing them and blaming them. There is no more guilt, no more torture.

3. Sink them. …You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. Micah 7:19
The bible says that He also casts our sins away into the depths of the sea.
No one could dig deep in the ocean as they would to open a grave.
Oh! and He even put a sign on the shore that says: “no fishing.”

4. Cleansed
My sins were washed away with the blood that Jesus Christ shed on the cross.
I am forgiven.
I am justified.
I am a joint heir with Christ.
I am accepted in the Beloved.
I am a royal priesthood of the Kingdom.
I am the apple of the Father’s eye.
I am a citizen of the kingdom of heaven.

He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19)

Think about it:
What causes you to know what God does with our sins?
Have you already forgiven yourself for your past sins or have you still gone to try to fish them from the bottom of the sea?
