Lips renewed with coal – part 2

LIPS RENEWED WITH COAL
PART 2

Then I said, “It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.” (Isaiah 6:5 NLT)

Yesterday we were talking about how most of us have problems with our way of speaking, but today we will be learning the solution to change it.

The solution:
Sanctify our lips with the touch of God.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven. (Isaiah 6:6-7 NLT)

I remember that I was well spoken, but when I accepted Christ in my heart and began to attend church, suddenly I noticed in a short time that my mouth was no longer saying bad words.
I had tried to change before without success, but the touch of God in my life supernaturally did what we can’t do in our own strength.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. 7 He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven. (Isaiah 6:6-7 NLT)

Think about it:

Have you struggled trying to change the way you speak in your own strength?
Have you experienced God’s touch in your life?
Are you needing God’s touch in your life to change the way you express yourself?
