God is present in your mourning

GOD IS PRESENT IN YOUR MOURNING

I will turn their mourning into joy.
I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing. (Jeremiah 31:13 NLT)

In life we will go through difficult situations that will test our trust in God.
(1 Peter 4:12 NLT)

One of these difficult moments is when there is a loss of any kind. The person goes through a grieving process that sometimes doesn’t seem to end, it seems that the suffering will last forever, but the word of the Lord assures us of several things:

1. God is not the author of our pain.
2. God knows our pain.
3. Grief is temporary, it will not last forever.
4. He guarantees that there will come a time when he turns our grief into joy and we will be people who can help others and be productive once again in life.

The young women will dance for joy, and the men—old and young—will join in the celebration. I will turn their mourning into joy. I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing. (Jer. 31:13 NLT)

Think about it:

Have you been through situations where your trust in God has been tested?
How has God helped you to move forward in those moments?
In what ways do you think you can be productive or help others after coming out of your loss process?
