People what the leader does

PEOPLE WHAT THE LEADER DOES

While Ezra prayed and made this confession, weeping and lying face down on the ground in front of the Temple of God, a very large crowd of people from Israel—men, women, and children—gathered and wept bitterly with him. (Ezra 10:1 NLT)

People do what the leader does.
While Ezra would pray people would see him and they were inspired to pray as well.
When Ezra repented, they were moved to repent as well.
When Ezra cried, people were moved to cry as well in repentance.

“People don’t do what the leader teaches, but what they see the leader do.”.  (AGJ )

The supervisor at work can influence with their example.
The leader at church can influence with their example.
The leader at camp can influence with their example.
In school, an influential teacher or student can inspire others.

Our children are more inspired to do what they see in our example, than what they hear in our words.
A father told a child that wasn’t obeying: Don’t you listen to what I have told you many times? The child responded: Dad it’s just that your actions scream so loud that I can’t listen to what you have told me”.

While Ezra prayed and made this confession, weeping and lying face down on the ground in front of the Temple of God, a very large crowd of people from Israel—men, women, and children—gathered and wept bitterly with him. (Ezra 10:1 NLT)

Think about it:
What example are you giving as a Christian?
What are your co-workers seeing you do?
What are you inspiring your children to do?
Are your words in agreement with your actions?
