Swift for evil?

SWIFT FOR EVIL, OR FOR GOOD?

At the king’s command, the decree went out by swift messengers, and it was also proclaimed in the fortress of Susa. Then the king and Haman sat down to drink, but the city of Susa fell into confusion. (Esther 3:15 NLT)

In this case, the king put a sense of urgency that would kill many people.

At the king’s command, the decree went out by swift messengers, …. Esther 3:15 NTV

This makes me think of the following:
1. What if there’s people that strive and rush to do what’s wrong, we should also apply a sense of urgency for the good stuff.
2. We as leaders have a big responsibility.
As we can see in this verse, the king was the one who put the order.

At the king’s command, the decree went out by swift messengers, …. Esther 3:15 NLT

We can use our influences to do bad or good things.
We can put a sense of urgency to win souls.
We can motivate a sense of urgency to take care of families, or not take care of them and dedicate ourselves to materialistic stuff and lose our families.
We can teach how to appreciate things that are just passing by, or appreciate the spiritual and eternal.
As leaders we have a huge weight and responsibility.

At the king’s command, the decree went out by swift messengers, and it was also proclaimed in the fortress of Susa. Then the king and Haman sat down to drink, but the city of Susa fell into confusion. (Esther 3:15 NLT)

Think about it:
What have you put a sense of urgency to?
How will you use the influence that God has given you?
What example and life teaching are you giving to those around you?
