The offerings of the temple

THE OFFERINGS OF THE TEMPLE

When they arrived at the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem, some of the family leaders made voluntary offeringstoward the rebuilding of God’s Temple on its original site. (Ezra 2:68 NLT)

According to their ability they gave to the treasury,…..(Ezra 2:69 NIV)

1. Offerings have a purpose. As we read here, the offerings were used for the purpose of the temple, in that case, they needed to restore it because it was destroyed.

2. Offeringsmust be voluntarily.
Generosity is normally spontaneous when we give for something that is important to us or if we consider the vision worth it.

When they arrived at the Temple…..some of the family leaders made voluntary offerings toward the rebuilding of God’s Temple …..(Ezra. 2:68 NLT)

Some people invest abundantly in the latest car, others in their children ‘s university, some are generous in parties and casinos, others are generous in their church, etc. It all depends on what is important to everyone.

Think about it:

What is important to you?
In what area do you invest your money?
What vision do you feel is worth it?
Are you contributing to the vision of your church?
