The pressure of crisis

THE PRESSURE OF CRISIS
REVEALS WHAT TYPE OF SOIL I AM

“The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy.”Mark4:16NLT

In this time of COVID-19 it is showing what type of soil we are, in which the word of God was planted.

Some people showed happiness when they were in church, but they only had a superficial relationship with God.

Now that problems have come and they are feeling the pressure of this crisis, it is showing that they did not have deep roots, that they do not have strong convictions, they are drying out under the heat of difficulties.

“The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word.”
Mark4:16-17NLT

But there are others that have revealed they have always been good soil and:
-Continue serving God through serving people.
-they continue practicing the six habits of a successful disciple.
-They continue giving fruit and the spiritual, family, social, and financial life.

“And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!” Mark4:20NLT

Think about it:

What type of soil are you?
What changes has the crisis of the pandemic caused in your relationship with God?
What habits of the successful disciple have you stopped practicing?
