Everything according to our possibilities

EVERYTHING ACCORDING TO OUR POSSIBILITIES

All must give as they are able, according to the blessings given to them by the Lord your God. (Deuteronomy 16:17 NLT)

In this verse I observe many things:

1. We are all called to be generous. All must give
This phrase doesn’t sound like something optional, but that God is a giver and made us in his likeness and does not want us to become stingy, but rather that we be generous.
In reality, I feel satisfaction when I can do something for someone with my resources, time, words, or money.
Apostle Paul said it best when he said there is more blessing in giving than in receiving, that it was best to be in a position of giving that of receiving. Acts 20:35

2. We can all be generous. All must give as they are able
There is no one too poor with nothing to give. It’s not a question of money, we can give words of encouragement, time, service, attention, etc.
Generosity is an attitude of the heart, a mindset, a lifestyle.
There are some who live like a “rake” (everything for them). It’s a matter of philosophy of life.

3. We all give according to what we have received. According to the blessings given to them” ….
According to what we have received.

On the first day of each week, you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned. Don’t wait until I get there and then try to collect it all at once. 1 Corinthians 16:2

With joy and not sadness in the heart.

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of [a]necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.(2 Corinthians 9:7 NKJV)

Think about it:
What’s best for you? to be in the position of giving or receiving?
What do you have to give?
What blessings have you received from God that you could share with others?
