Friendships that enrich

FRIENDSHIPS THAT ENRICH

Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Cephas and stayed with him fifteen days.I saw none of the other apostles—only James, the Lord’s brother.(Galatians 1:18-19 NLT)

The friends with whom we spend time can make us better or worse, they can help us be better or worse spouses.
They advance us or slow us down. They enrich us or exhaust us. They bring us closer to church or they separate us from it.

Paul said he went to Jerusalem and met two excellent leaders, apostles Peter and James, and he stayed fifteen days with Peter.

I went up to Jerusalem..and stayed with him fifteen days. (Gal. 1:18-19 NLT)

I wonder what topics they spoke about in those fifteen days? Did they pray together? Eat together? Minister together?

There are people with whom we can spend a lot of time and learn nothing, but there are others with whom we are mutually enriched.

Whoever walks with wise people will be wise,
but whoever associates with fools will suffer. (Proverbs 13:20)

Think about it:
What kind of friendships do you surround yourself with?
What friendships enrich you and help you be a better person?
Who do you need to separate yourself from?
