They will be like splinters in their eyes

THEY WILL BE LIKE SPLINTERS IN THEIR EYES

But if you fail to drive out the people who live in the land, those who remain will be like splinters in your eyes and thorns in your sides… (Numbers 33:55 NLT)

There are things we must be radical on and not leave them in our territory. We must expel them from our mental and emotional territory:
Toxic friendships.
Unhealthy habits.
Painful, humiliating, or irritating memories. Perhaps they can’t be erased, but we will remember them as something that has already passed.

You will forget your misery; it will be like water flowing away.
Your life will be brighter than noonday. Even darkness will be as bright as morning. (Job 11:16-17)

We need healing and liberation of the soul, and if we don’t get these toxic things out, then they will be like thorns in the side.
With splinters in your eyes, you can’t see clearly.
With thorns in the body, we can’t enjoy life, we can’t move freely, nor can we move fast.

…those who remain will be like splinters in your eyes and thorns in your sides. (Numbers 33:55 NLT)

Think about it:
Have you felt stuck or without the joy of enjoying life?
What do you need to get out of your life, your mind, and your sphere of influence?
What things do you need to cleanse your heart of?
