PROTECT YOUR LEGACY
Don’t let your legacy get lost.
These are the things that Solomon had done during his reign in the temple that he built for the Lord. But, after he died, an enemy king came and destroyed what he had made and stole the riches of the temple.
We must prepare our next generations to preserve what we have achieved and taken it to a higher level.
Teach your children what you have learned in your spiritual life. Teach them the values that you know will bless your descendants for years to come. Teach them to manage money well. Teach them to avoid the trap of debt and credit cards. Show them the value of service and adding value to other people. Instill in them the value of the golden rule, to respect and treat others as you wish to be respected and treated. Teach them the law of sowing and reaping, etc.
Be a mentor to someone in this short lifetime. Do not take what you have learned to heaven, share the wisdom you have obtained through the years, share the victories and also what you have learned through mistakes so that others don’t make them.
Jesus Christ protected his legacy by preparing twelve men (his disciples) so that they would carry on his work. Moses prepared a Joshua who took care and continued the work. Elijah poured into an Elisha, who followed the work of the prophet. David prepared Solomon. Paul commissioned Timothy to care for his legacy, preparing two more generations apart from Timothy. In other words, his legacy would reach four generations: Paul, Timothy, trusted men, and others.
Don’t allow your legacy to be lost!

What do you need to teach your children so that your legacy is not lost?
As a parent, are you making sure that your children continue your legacy?
Who are you pouring everything you’ve learned into? Are you being a mentor to someone?
