Because I love – part 2

BECAUSE I LOVE

Because I love Zion, I will not keep still. Because my heart yearns for Jerusalem, I cannot remain silent. I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch.
Isaiah 62:1 NLT

According to this passage, we learned yesterday that when one loves something or someone we can’t keep still or silent, but also….

3. When you love someone or something, you PRAY for them.

I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch.
Isaiah 62:1 NLT

There are times where we would like to be indifferent to the needs and problems of this world, but there is a fire inside me that doesn’t allow it. (Like it happened with Jeremiah).

Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. (Jeremiah 20:9 NKJV)

Even though I would like to live mediocrely or lightly, I find that I can’t do it, because I was born with a purpose.
Even though I would like to be indifferent to the needs of others, I find it difficult because I love God, because I love my family, because I love what God loves most:
People.

Because I love….. I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch.
Isaiah 62:1 NLT

Think about it:
Have you felt like Jeremiah, with that fire within that doesn’t allow you to quiet God’s love?
Do you pray constantly for what you love?
In what way are you fulfilling the purpose of God in your life?
