Without bonds hope disappears

WITHOUT BONDS HOPE DISAPPEARS

…My hopes have disappeared. My heart’s desires are broken. (Job 17:11 NLT)

1. When a human being loses hope for a better world, that is when he has lost almost everything. If I lose hope, then I will start seeing life negatively. That is what happened to the Job for a moment.

2. He thought that his days were over.

3. He thought the desires in his heart were broken.

My days are over. My hopes have disappeared. My heart’s desires are broken. (Job 17:11 NLT)

4. He wouldn’t think of the goals to come; the grave dominated his thoughts.

“…my life is nearly snuffed out. The grave is ready to receive me.” Job 17:1 NLT

5. He perceived people as enemies who mocked him.

I am surrounded by mockers. I watch how bitterly they taunt me.  Job 17:2

Job felt alone. He needed trustworthy relational bonds and needed true friends.

WHEN I FEEL AS THOUGH I AM LOSING HOPE, IT’S IMPORTANT TO ACTIVATE TRUSTWORTHY BONDS AND SURROUND MYSELF WITH GOOD FRIENDS.

Think about it:

Have you felt without hope?
Do you count on good friends, or do you need to bond with new people?
When you have felt alone, do you surround yourself with good friends?
