Don’t devalue yourself – part 2

DON’T DEVALUE YOURSELF
PART 2

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; (1 Peter 2:9 NKJV)

Yesterday we learned that for God we are very valuable, and He calls us his chosen lineage and royal priesthood; He also calls us a people acquired by Him:
3. People acquired by God.
This tells me that I am now a possession of God.
I don’t belong to anyone else. No one can enslave me. I am not an object. God bought me and I belong to him.
It depends on who we belong to, it is the value we have.
Some have paid a fortune for the shoes or clothes of celebrities like Michael Jackson, or Princess Diana. If those articles have so much value because they belong to a famous person, how much more value do I have for being a possession of the one and only true King!

The value of something is determined by two things, by who owns it, and by what someone is willing to pay. How much was God willing to pay for you and me? He was willing to give his own son on the cross.
This tells us everything!
Let’s not devalue ourselves!
Let’s not devalue each other!

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; (1 Peter 2:9 NKJV)

Think about it:
Who do you belong to?
Had you devalued yourself or had someone made you feel worthless?
What changes in you knowing the value you have for God?
