Fire

FIRE

It was cold, and the servants and officials stood around a fire they had made to keep warm. Peter also was standing with them, warming himself. (Juan 18:18 NTV)

Fire is used to heat something or someone.
In this case, Peter was warming himself with other people to protect himself from the cold.

1. Fire can give life, or it can destroy. There is a type of fire that destroys, for example, a fire can destroy a house or a forest.
2.There is another type of fire that brings benefits:
The fire can be used for cooking.
The fire can be used to heat the water and take a relaxing shower.
The fire can boil the water to kill the bacteria and drink the water safely.
Fire can be used to light a bonfire and warm the body so as not to die of cold.
3.there is a fire of God. In the Bible the Holy Spirit is compared to fire, and this morning the following comes to mind: The fire of the Holy Spirit purifies. The fire of the Holy Spirit warms my heart that was indifferent and cold, and now has a love for God and for people. The fire of the Holy Spirit ignites a passion in me for the ministry.

Jeremiah explains that when he wanted to stop preaching, there was a fire inside his bones that would not allow him to give up (Jer. 20:9)
Lord, may my heart not grow cold and indifferent,
May the fire of your Holy Spirit always burn in me, may my heart always burn with love and with a desire to know you more every day. May your fire burn in my heart with love for my home, for my marriage, for my daughters, and for the souls who still do not know you as Lord and Savior.

Think about it:
How is your heart? Cold or full of love for God and for souls?
Is there a fire within you for speaking the word of God or do you need the Holy Spirit to stir you up?
