GOOD AND EVIL ARE A PART OF LIFE
LORD, hear my prayer! Listen to my plea! (Psalm 102:1 NLT)
In this psalm, I realize once more that it is normal for humans to occasionally feel overwhelmed. It’s simply a part of life.
It encourages me to see that I am not the only one who sometimes feels this way.
What do we do when we feel overwhelmed by problems?
I see here that the psalmist vented to God. The first eleven verses are a prayer of venting:
LORD, hear my prayer!
Listen to my plea!
Don’t turn away from me in my time of distress.
Bend down to listen and answer me quickly when I call you.(Psalms 102:1-2 NLT)
Listen to my plea!
Don’t turn away from me in my time of distress.
Bend down to listen and answer me quickly when I call you.(Psalms 102:1-2 NLT)
It’s not bad to complain when we feel overwhelmed, it’s bad when we stay there.
To be continued…
Think about it:
What things have made you feel overwhelmed?
What do you do when you feel that way?
What helps you to not feel overwhelmed.
