Hope

HOPE

Elisha replied, “Listen to this message from the Lord! This is what the Lord says: By this time tomorrow in the markets of Samaria, six quarts of choice flour will cost only one piece of silver, and twelve quarts of barley grain will cost only one piece of silver. The officer assisting the king said to the man of God, “That couldn’t happen even if the Lord opened the windows of heaven!” But Elisha replied, “You will see it happen with your own eyes, but you won’t be able to won’t be able to eat any of it!” ( 2 Kings 7:1-2 NLT)

1.- Hope. No one can live for long without hope.
Someone said that a human being can live 40 days without food, four days without water, four minutes without oxygen, and only four seconds without hope.
I hope from:

Here the prophet Elisha gave them a message of hope in a time of famine, telling them that the next day God would perform a miracle and there would be an abundance of food in the market, but someone negative without hope did not believe it and died before being able to enjoy it.

2.- Faith. I need to have hope and then move in faith based on God’s promises to be able to enjoy the blessing.

The king’s officer had replied, “That couldn’t happen even if the Lord opened the windows of heaven!” And the man of God has said, “You will see it happen with your own eyes, but you won’t be able to eat any of it!” And so it was, for the people trampled him to death at the gate! ( 2 Kings 7: 19-20 NLT)

Think about it?:

In what areas of your life do you need to regain hope and trust in God’s promises?
How can you strengthen your faith to believe in the miracles and blessings that God can bring into your life?
Are you allowing negativity and hopelessness prevent you from seeing and enjoying God’s blessings?
