DECIDE

“Then I explained to the nobles and officials and all the people, “The work is very spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall. When you hear the blast of the trumpet, rush to wherever it is sounding. The our God will fight for us!”” (Nehemiah 4:19-20 NLT)

This passage calls us to make firm decisions, to prioritize what is important, and to trust in God as we work together as one body.

  1. Decide
Indecision paralyzes and keeps us stagnant. Too much analysis leads to paralysis. We need to decide to grow, move forward, and take action. Whether it’s personal decisions like getting married, changing jobs, or starting a business, or spiritual decisions like committing to the eight-week series, it’s vital that you choose to move forward. Don’t let fear of making the wrong decision stop you. Try joining a community discipleship group (CG) or a service team, and decide today!
  2. Prioritize
There will always be more things to do than time to do them. But we must prioritize what truly is important. Give priority to your relationships, your community discipleship group, and your spiritual growth. You can’t do everything, but you can choose what is most important for your life and your relationship with God.
  3. Trust
To build together, we need to trust one another. Sometimes, the fear of being hurt again makes us isolate ourselves. But God calls us to take a step of faith and be vulnerable, trusting that we are not alone. The enemy wants you to stay isolated so you won’t be able to edify your spiritual, family, social, and financial walls. But this is your opportunity: run toward the trumpet, which represents the series, the groups, the service, and the teams where you can find community and purpose.

Think about it:

  • What important decision do you need to make today to move forward in your spiritual or personal life?
  • How can you better prioritize your commitments to make sure the important things always have a place?
  • Are you willing to trust others and join the work God is doing through His church?
