Pure stories

PURE STORIES

“I replied, ‘There is no truth in any part of your story. You are making up the whole thing.’ They were just trying to intimidate us, imagining that they could discourage us and stop the work. So I continued the work with even greater determination..” (Nehemiah 6:8-9 NLT)

In life, we will face situations and people who try to stop us, discourage us, or make us believe it’s impossible to move forward. But we need to recognize that, many times, it’s just pure stories.

  1. Circumstances that seem impossible are pure stories
There will be times when problems seem insurmountable, but that’s just pure stories. God reminds us in Philippians 4:13 that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. No matter how big the challenge seems, in Christ, we have the victory and the strength to overcome it.
  2. People who say ‘you can’t’ don’t know God’s promises
Throughout life, there will be people who try to discourage us with phrases like “you can’t” or “it’s impossible.” But that’s just pure stories. These people don’t have the same faith we have in God’s promises, who assures us that “for the word of God will never fail” (Luke 1:37). Our faith must be in God’s promises, not in human limitations.
  3. The enemy will try to steal our dreams, but it’s pure stories
The devil will always try to intimidate us, making us doubt the dreams and plans God has placed in our hearts. But his threats are just pure stories. God will fulfill His purpose in us (Psalm 138:8), and nothing can stop His plans when we remain faithful and trust in Him.
  4. The enemy doesn’t want us to participate in “Decisions that Heal”
The devil will try to discourage us and keep us from participating in the “Healing Decisions” series. Why? Because he knows that when we work together to build our spiritual, family, social, and financial walls, we become stronger and more resilient. His lies are pure stories, but like Nehemiah, we will continue with even more determination to fulfill God’s purpose.
