HOW DOES COMMON SENSE CONNECT TO SUCCESS?

“Common sense and success belong to me. Insight and strength are mine” (Proverbs 8:14 NLT).

I once asked someone to make an appointment for me with the IRS to renew some documents. I was surprised when I asked this person three days after about the appointment, because I found out they still hadn’t made the appointment for the reason that they “didn’t know the number”.

Do you realize that a person like this will most likely not reach success? With that lack of common sense, this individual will have deficiencies in their job and in other areas of their life like their marriage and any project they try to initiate.

People who lack wisdom make mistakes at work and their excuse is, “No one told me I wasn’t supposed to do that”. For example, common sense lets you know that it is not a good idea to steal supplies from your job.

If you are driving your car during a storm, you don’t need the cops to pull you over and tell you that you have to drive with precaution, to use your windshields and turn on your lights. All you have to do is use your common sense and it will help you avoid accidents.

Don’t expect God to speak to you with a thunderous voice, neither justify your sins, just use your common sense and you’ll know it’s not right to have an affair with a woman that is not your wife, or to engage in any other sexual practices that are not approved by God in marriage.

There are things that only require common sense, and wisdom gives you that common sense. It marks the difference between a mediocre and a successful person.
Let go of all excuses and use your common sense, because it will bring you success.

“Common sense and success belong to me. Insight and strength are mine” (Proverbs 8:14 NLT).
