FROM THE ANONYMITY TO THE PALACE
God brought David out of the anonymity, and he became a very known person. Till this day, after 3,000 years, we continue to speak about him as a king, a warrior, a musician and a poet who was just, brave, and passionate.
In the same way, God wants to give you a leader’s identity. You and I were born because the Heavenly Father desired this, not because we were an accident. You have a specific purpose. Perhaps, you have felt bored because you’re still taking care of the sheep, or your many cars, money, or any other material and temporary things. Therefore, you’re not satisfied. You know why? Because you don’t realize you were made to make relationships with people, not animals. God wants to use your life so that you bless others.
Find a way to serve your church. Consider becoming a House of Peace leader or host. Ask yourself if you can be a mentor for someone. Integrate in one of the many ministries in your congregation, whether it’s in the children’s ministry, youth ministry, camera ministry or worship team.
Three benefits you receive when you allow God to use your life.
1. Satisfaction. God brings you out of being with the sheep and He begins to bring satisfaction in your life. The Bible says, “I took you from tending sheep in the pasture…” (2 Samuel 7:8 NLT).
2. You become a leader. The Bible says, “I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel” (2 Samuel 7:8 NLT).
3. You receive God’s support in everything you do, and everything you do will be prospered. Even your enemies and critics won’t be able to deny that there is “someone” who seems to be helping you.
God brings those who serve Him out of the anonymity. God takes you from being behind the sheep and He makes you a leader of success in your spiritual, family, social and financial life. It is a wonderful process that refines and prepares us for the blessing that’s on the other side of the pasture.
Think about it:
How do you know you have placed God in first place?
In which ministry, would you like to serve?
